SmartMio- The World’s First Connected Wearable Muscle Stimulator

Have you ever felt like reaching a fitness plateau?  Even though you’ve been eating right, training, and getting adequate rest, you just can’t seem to make any progress with your original work out routine.  Well, if that happens, there are a few things you could do.  First, you should spend more time on weightlifting if you have been spending most of your time on cardio workouts, or vice versa.  Next, change your work out routine; try something new that your body is not used to doing.  Finally, you can increase the intensity of your workout.  If all these do not work for you, then maybe SmartMio is something you need.

The SmartMio is the world’s first connected wearable muscle stimulator which can be connected to an app on your Andriod or iOS smartphone via Bluetooth.  The device comes with two sticky electrode pads that users can attach to a particular body part they want to train.  The StartMio uses Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) that mimics what your brain does when it transmit the nerve impulses to engage your muscles during a workout.  Which means that users can “work out” whenever and wherever, and it is especially great for those who don’t have enough time to exercise.  Even though the SmartMio can tone your muscles with small doses of electrical stimulation to the targeted muscle groups, it should not be used as a replacement of your workout.  However, it is a great complementary to their regular training sessions as it claims to improve your overall sports performance in 6-8 weeks.

What else can the SmartMio do?

  • Build endurance, resistance, strength, and speed for 14 main muscle groups
  • Speed up muscle recovery
  • Improve muscle tone and aesthetic
  • Isolate and work out specific muscle groups
  • Warm up muscles before work out
  • Improve blood circulation

SmartMio is now available to preorder for $69, with an expected ship date of November 2014.  Visit to preorder, or to learn more about the product!  Stay fit!
